Tonight I'm getting some Rob time in and tomorrow I'll be getting some Cooper time in. Everyone is heading to the beach on Sunday for a week and I'm being left at home to keep everything running smoothly. Rob has surgery Monday on his ankle and David let me have the day off even though Jo and Art won't be here. I'm hoping that this really helps Rob. He's been in so much pain due to this.
I'm so tired...last night I wrestled with the squishy bed topper Jo and Art gave me. Lord that thing is heavy. Then after getting my bed all back together I realized I had put the squishy thing on top of my heated mattress pad. ARGH! Rob said after he's healed he'll help me fix the problem. He's such a sweetie. I did sleep better last night...I didn't feel like an old decrepit woman this morning when I woke up.

I didn't share all weekend.
We went to 5 Guys for dinner on Friday night followed by Coldstone ice cream. Gave Rob the 25 cent tour of Jo and Art's, let the dogs out, and then relaxed on the couch watching tv snuggled up. At about 10:30 Sam said it was time for bed. This could be because Rob had already been sleeping for over and hour already but I decided that Sam was right and nudged Rob and got him moving in the right direction.
Saturday was a lazy day for Rob. The dogs demanded to go out and to be fed, go figure. I finally went and woke him up and discussed lunch. I went and did that while he showered. More cuddling and Rob snoozing on the couch. I made him killer brownies and we ordered pizza for dinner. After a foot massage for Rob and a show he slept through I was ready for bed.
For Sunday I'd say wash, rinse, repeat except for after letting the dogs out at 6:30 I went back to bed and didn't wake again until almost 11. I can't believe the dogs...read Quigley...let me sleep that long. I got up and left the room and no one followed. I actually had to go back and get the dogs. After a late breakfast for the dogs and a call to Jo I woke up Rob. We talked for a bit and after ascertaining that he was hungry I went to start breakfast while he showered. He said breakfast was passable or maybe he said it was okay. I can't remember now. More snuggling on the couch, a nap for Rob while I washed, dryed and re-made the bed. Fed the dogs, let them out and left for home. I was sorry for the weekend to end. It was nice not sharing.

Yesterday, I arrived home and heard something running. I went downstairs
to discover the basement covered in an inch of water. The running noise
was coming from the bathroom and at first I'm thinking that somehow the
toilet has overflowed. Wrong! The tank had a crack in it from the top
all the way to the bottom and the water that was trying to fill it up
was just running out...no wait...POURING out the crack. First things
first...turn off the water. Did that then went looking for the wet/dry
vac. Found that and the hose plugged it in, turned it on and voila! it should start
sucking up water right??? Wrong! You have to remove the filter bag
thingy first. Thank goodness for Rob. He talked me through that so that
I was able to suck up and dump 16 gallons of water before JC arrived.
See, Dad's in Atlanta and won't be home until Thursday. Some where in
there Mom got home and joined in on the fun. The long and the short of
it is 4 hours later and with the help of JC and Tim, we had it all
cleaned up. Well, there's more that needs to be done but there isn't
water on the floor anymore. I can't even begin to imagine how long it
would have taken without JC and Tim's help. It's nice to have a brother
and cousins who live close! :)
